What We Stand For
Founded in 1981, the Kappa Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi is the foremost professional business fraternity on Cal Poly's campus. We develop and shape our brothers through our three pillars.
Professionalism
Being a professional business fraternity, we pride ourselves on providing learn by doing experiences through professional and leadership opportunities. While we are a fraternity only open to students of the Orfalea College of Business, our brothers are interested in a wide variety of companies, positions and industries.
Community Service
Our brothers participate in various service events, utilizing our creativity and business skills to build the surrounding community and give back to others. The brothers of Kappa Mu are dedicated to making a lasting impact in San Luis Obispo County by volunteering in various ways including marathons, fundraisers and food drives.
Brotherhood
Our chapter has a unique and inclusive culture unmatched by any other fraternity, sorority, or organization. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, providing each and every brother the opportunity to feel connected with each other and to find their place within the chapter and university.

Chapter President
The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities. Founded on November 7, 1907, over 300,000 members hold the high honor of being a Deltasig and extending our values as business leaders across the nation.
The Kappa Mu Chapter of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo was established on April 4, 1981. The Kappa Mu Chapter emphasizes three pillars of professionalism, community service, and brotherhood. These pillars are executed bi-annually during our Tri-Pillar trip, where active brothers visit a new location to develop professional business acumen, give back to the community through service, and strengthen internal bonds during brotherhood events.
Our Chapter provides professional opportunities through corporate tours, guest speakers, and our vast alumni network. With over 1,000 initiates, the Kappa Mu chapter has the resources to connect with brothers all over the world in a diverse set of industries. We are proud to watch our brothers evolve past commencement and stay involved as members of our Alumni Chapter.
Kappa Mu believes that those who profit most serve best, and since we all hope to profit it is our obligation to serve. Our values bring uniquely talented and tenacious students together to excellence as business leaders, community members, and empathetic brothers. Our tightly knit brotherhood distinguishes Kappa Mu because being a Kappa Mu is not just four years, but for life.
