The History of Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities and was founded on November 7, 1907 at New York University by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. With over 280,000 members and 200 collegiate chapters around the country, Delta Sigma Pi continues to develop principled business leaders for the future by providing a lifetime of opportunity for our members.

OUR Chapter

The Kappa Mu Chapter was founded on April 4, 1981 at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA. Since the chapter’s founding, over 900 Business Administration, Economics, and Industrial Technology & Packaging students and faculty members have been initiated into the Kappa Mu Chapter. We strive to make a positive impact on each brother, helping them build the personal and professional skills to pursue many successful careers at some of the companies below. However, we are more than just a business organization. Through our pillars of Professionalism, Community Service, and Brotherhood, we hope to build future leaders in both the business and global community.
